Melanee Bruntjen, left, and her husband Eric Bruntjen race down a canal embankment on the 2-mile-long fjeld run section of the annual Gap2Gap multi-sport race in Yakima. Together the Bruntjens formed the Full Metal Chicken duo team. Though duo teams usually divide up the various legs of the race, the Bruntjens elected to run all legs together.
