Chief photographer Gordon King started his newspaper career with a brief and unprofitable stint as an ad salesman.
Since starting full time in news photography in 1984, he’s worked at newspapers in Gig Harbor, Wash., Lander, Wyoming, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and Moscow, Idaho before joining the Herald-Republic staff in 1988.
