I took this iPhone shot while walking across the closed Mabton bridge the other day looking for a decent road block picture. A portion of the bridge spans a stagnant, murky backwater full of reeds and riparian life. Way up under a tree I spotted this decrepit row boat that looks as if it’s been there for decades.
A fun enough shot in an of itself but look closely at the sign. The barely legible word reads, “Keep,” logically the first half of a warning to “Keep Out.” But the obvious question to me, looking at this wide angle picture, is how would I possibly get in?
Interesting, perplexing world out there and sometimes you can only see it by walking across a bridge you normally drive over.
