I often catch myself wondering how well iPhones can handle certain photo tricks. More accurately, I wonder how well I can handle certain photo tricks with iPhones.
I never was that great at panning with any camera, but I thought I’d give it a shot on Conner here. This is the best I could do.
I was reporting only on this story. Gordon handled the video and photos.
To keep myself busy, I watched this kindergarten boy run up ladders, down ladders and from grape bin to grape bin, all in the name of helping his father, Robert Smasne, process wine grapes in Grandview. Conner raked grapes into an auger, gave directions to the forklift drivers and toted around a shovel that was taller than he was. (Never saw what he used it for.)
Movement was not a problem. Getting Conner to move in a predictable direction was. During his “down time” he played on this scooter. To get a shot of him, I dared him to see how fast he could go on it. To get him to repeat it for second, third and fourth tries, I told him I thought I could go faster.
Very glad he didn’t call my bluff.
