Maybe someday this photo will become more relevant, more important to the day’s news. But right now, it’s just a photo I like.
I photographed a ceremony followed by photo op at which Jay Inslee, the governor of Washington, and Johnson Meninick, an elder of the Yakama Nation, signed a large pipe marking a construction project.
Following the ceremony, after all the hoopla had died down and people were milling around, Inslee and Meninick exchanged business cards.
Just a nice real-life moment of two leaders networking.
