Dawn photo assignments rock. Really.
Okay, getting up at o-dark-thirty isn’t always easy or fun but the visual payoff from those early-morning assignments usually makes up for getting up so early.
And in the early morning the different colors of different lights are often very evident.
Early yesterday I photographed people unloading cattle at the Central Washington State Fair and I was struck by all the different colors of light in this scene. I count five different types of lights and five corresponding colors of light.
There’s the daylight, the greenish light of the floodlight on the wall of the building, the very yellow light of the interior of the building, the light of the truck headlights and the parking lights on the truck.
Added up in one scene I think it makes for a pretty colorful photo.
