My life would not be the wonderful life that I have today if not for a friend and former colleague, Paul O’Neill, who died last night while undergoing surgery. This is a man from whom I learned so much professionally and personally while I worked at the East Valley Tribune and Scottsdale Tribune in Arizona that I can’t begin to make mention of all the ways. Paul smiled and laughed, and I remember him as smiling and laughing and mostly, talking about his family. He loved his wife and two children dearly and it showed. Paul was the matchmaker between me and my wife and because of that I will always be the happiest I can ever be. I’m still shocked to hear about his passing. I miss him.
