A friend along

My oldest daughter, Lucy, gave me this stuffed dog to take with me on my Sunday shift. He was a great companion, going to a church service (luckily, I didn’t bump the button that makes him speak), an indoor soccer match and to the Oak Creek elk feeding station. There are signs at the Oak Creek feeding station telling people to keep their dogs in their cars, so I made sure to leave him on the seat.
