Every year, Santa Claus comes by the Yakima Herald-Republic and sits for some photos for employees and family. I’ve had the honor of being the photographer to shoot the pictures. And I love it. Most photojournalists wouldn’t admit that. We tend to like more exciting assignments. And, yeah, I like those too, and surely I would never want to be assigned to just Santa, like some kind of North Pole Pete Souza. But it’s fun to see Santa every year and all the YHR families and kids who come to see him, including my own girls, June, 3, and Lucy, 5.
