iPad fun

So, I got an iPad2 and finally joined the present. It took me long enough to do it. I’m not some kind of Luddite, it’s just that things like iPads and iPhones are expensive and I usually choose to spend my money on my daughters and good food. Anyway, there are a lot of fun things to do on an iPad, some are intended to be games, others aren’t, but end up that way. Take Shutterstock, for example. This is an app that allows you to search a gigantic catalog of stock images. They have everything, even pictures of Santa Claus flying on Christmas, which is a difficult shot to get. Who knows, maybe it was at an air show.

You can search for things, like, say, “Washington apples,” and find photos like these.

But the fun part is entering a combination of words and seeing what comes up. Enter “angry tree,” and you will see this photo.

And if you enter “racoon dog” you’ll see this:

You can’t be too far out, though.  “Church muffin,” didn’t bring back anything interesting.
