One of the reasons I love being a photojournalist is that I learn something new almost every day. Something new about somebody, some place or some issue.
Or, in this case, something new about … chickens.
Chickens (at least some chickens ) like watermelon.

I shot this while working on a story about proposed rules regulating chickens within the Yakima city limits.
I also liked this photo because of the circular arrangement of the chickens around the watermelon and how it mimics the shape of the watermelon.
